My Darling Tony and I have been married for 15 years, this December 12, 2009.
We were both widowed when we met in Ohio. We sold both of our homes mine, in Shaker Heights, and his in North Olmstead, Ohio, and then we bought a 35 acre farm in North Carolina. We lived in the smaller house, until the larger older house was refurbished.
Our favorite past times at the farm, were to tear down old barbed wire fences, rebuild the 3 story 3000 square foot barn, and clean up years of rubish.
We kept clearing the land, until we had many fields to bush hog.

After 4 years of John Deering it, we opted for a sail boat on Lake Tillery.
We sold most of the farm, kept 5 acres, and moved to a cottage on the lake.
Later, we sold the large sail boat, and purchased a pontoon. Tony and my sons, which have both moved down here too, love to fish off of our pier.

We have 4 children, he 2 girls, me 2 boys. He has 1 grandson, and I have 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
Tony has led a wonderful life. He graduated from John Carroll University, in University Heights, Ohio in 1959.
One week later, he entered the Army as a 2 Lt. . He retired from the Army 28 years later as Colonel Anthony Long.
During the turmoil at Kent State, Tony was the chief officer pilot, in command of the helicopters that flew over the university looking for snipers, on the roof tops.
During our marriage, both on the farm, and here at the lake, Tony has donated many hours of his time to help the less fortunate. He has repaired furniture and fans for the poor. He has worked many hours at our local thrift store, that helps out the needy in our town.
Tony's main recreation is his computer. Next, it is going to our largest, closest town of Albemarle, to attend Mass, eat out, or shop.
He enjoys television. House and CSI are is favorite shows.
His office window, looks out at the lake, which is his favorite place to sit, when not at the computer.
We both love animals.
Currently , we are down to 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 ferrets, and 1 parrot.
We did have, at one time , 5 dogs, 5 cats, and 8 ferrets.
The parrot, is in love with Tony. I let him out in the evening, and he flies from my computer room which is about 50 plus feet , around corners too, to get to Tony's den. The parrot lands on Tony's shoulder, where he stays until bedtime.
